CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES
We take seriously Jesus'
command to "let
the little children come unto me... for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
Sunday School
Sunday School is a spiritual anchor in
the lives of our children. We have classes that offer an age-appropriate, Bible-based
curriculum. Sunday School meets from 9:45 to 10:40 a.m.
Children's Church
A worship experience for children in
grades K-2, Children's Church is a time for children to praise God, have fun and
fellowship, and learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Children's Church is held
durind the 11:00 worship service in the Kindergarten/First Grade Sunday School room.
Music
At Southview, we love to sing! Our
choirs meet wekly from September through May each Wednesday evening. In addition to
singing during worship service, They participate in Christmas and Springtime musicals. We
have three children's choirs:
Cherubs: Age 3
to pre-K, meets Wednesday frrom 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Southview Singers: K
to 4th grade, meet Wednesday from 6:00-7:20 p.m.
Choir of Serenity: 5th
grade and up, meet Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Special Events
There is a time for everything and a
season for every activity under heaven... a time to laugh... and a time to dance... and a
time to PARTY!!! Throughout the year we hold several parties for the children of our
Church and their friends, usually around the major holidays.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is
held every summer at Southview for children of all ages, including adults. This is Sunday
School, Children's Church, Music and Partytime all rolled up into one fun week! Our VBS is
held in the evenings with dinner provided.
Southview Preschool
The Southview Preschool is a
weekly program offered to children 3 to 5 years old during the school year. Learning
life's lessons from a Christian perspective, our little ones are active in a safe and
loving environment.
SCOUTING AT SOUTHVIEW
Cub Scouts meet Tuesdays at
6:30; Boy Scouts at 7:00. Cubs are boys aged 6-10 (or grades 1-5) and boys aged 11-18 (or
grades 6-12) are eligible for Boy Scouts. If you know a boy who could benefit from
scouting, or if you would like to help support this important Church mission by
volunteering as an Adult Leader, please call Chuck Mason, or Mike Francisco.
